Dear Friend in Need of help with emergency

The man in the orange shirt is a dear friend in need of help. I have known Vinnie for almost 40 years. He came here as a refugee from Cuba many years ago. He has worked very hard at two full time jobs since then to provide for his large family. Born in 1942, he is still working as best as he can to make ends meet. He has had some medical issues these past few years and has not been able to work as much. He has been a mainstay at the Delaware Plaza in Delmar, N.Y. where he has worked for almost 40 years. My husband and I have known him for over 30 years and have been amazed by this man's kindness and generosity. Vinnie would give a stranger the shirt off of his back. I have watched Vinnie buy countless strangers lunch and dinner. Please help us reach our goal. Vinnie's sewer line and water lines need to be replaced all the way to the city main. Homeowner's insurance does not cover this. The projected cost of replacement is $8,500. Thank you.
