Death of Veteran David Jubb.

I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated to assist the late David Jubb family. We have reached our target of £4500. Additionally, we also raised £250 for the PWO bronze horse. All monies raised will be solely used for the funeral and any extra will be donated to the chosen family charity. The Regiment family and friends have been amazing in their support and for that Mrs Christine Jubb and her family are extremely grateful. Thank you.

Death of veteran David Jubb

Prince of Wales’s Own Regiment of Yorkshire and Late Royal Yorkshire Regiment.

David Jubb passed away suddenly on 27 September 2023 aged 48. David served his country for 24 years retiring as a corporal. His wife Christine contacted me; Lieutenant Colonel retired Greg Peck asking if I could help. Christine has no money for David’s funeral. She has contacted SSAFA who offered no assistance and is currently in contact with the Royal British Legion. The amount required for David’s funeral is £4439.00. I discussed options with Christine and she has given permission for a just giving fundraising page to be opened on her family’s behalf. I explained to Christine that any money raised is to be used solely for the funeral and nothing else. I further explained that any money raised over the target would be donated to a medical charity of her choosing and any letters of gratitude from charities would be published. In order to get the widest possible coverage I have asked my great friend Lieutenant Colonel retired Dave Prew to raise the just giving page and advertise it on his social media platforms, this Dave has agreed to. This whole process will be transparent. If you can help in anyway with a donation large or small Christine and the family would be grateful.
