Hey guys….. I’m currently part of a small group trying to help an elderly lady outside of Newell get her home back in order. She is completely dependent on a Walker to be mobile. My friends and I have been working hard to get the hoarding situation cleaned up and have been making amazing progress in her home.

Why am I making a post?

Her home is in need of some repairs before home health or dss will assist her in her home.

We were told there is a septic issue of some kind in the basement….. (I didn’t go look because old farmhouse…. creepy cellar….lots of spiders eeeeek im a pansy too many horror movies as a kid idk)

there is a rodent problem which is going to cost a minimum of $430 to eradicate

I’m hoping to find some one who could help us identify the issue and help us figure out what our next step is to getting it fixed.

She also has a leak under her kitchen sink that needs repaired but i don’t know diddly about plumbing.

We’re also having issues finding someone to haul the trash we’ve pulled out of the home to the dump….. THIS IS AN IMMEDIATE PROBLEM as I caught her out at the bags trying to make sure we didn’t throw things out and I’m highly worried she’s going to try taking things back into the home.

She is scared to use her bath so we’re looking to find a contractor to remove the bath and install a walk-in shower.

she has two broken windows and poorly installed door that leaks air and has gaps so large bugs and rodents can get in.

There is a septic issue

there’s an electric issue in her bedroom addition.

there’s no ramp for her to get in and out of her home without risk of falling.

We need help….. and I’m willing to pay for any help so we can get this poor lady back on track but my own funds are limited as I’m a single mother.

A little back history…… this woman took me under her wing when I first went into foster care and drug me to so many horse shows….. all because I really loved horses so she taught me how to show her horses….. she literally saved my life and helped give me the best possible chance at a good future. This woman moved mountains for me and has never asked for anything in return…… I need help moving mountains for her….
