Debasmita’s battle continues…

As we stand today, 13 months have passed since our daughter, Debasmita’s debilitating accident. Since then, every day has seemed like a year to us. Throughout last year, Debasmita’s condition was very unstable. She went through multiple surgeries, infections and hospital stays. Against all odds, all struggles, we kept hoping that her condition would stabilize. By God’s grace, it did. She is stable now and we could bring her back home. She is a fighter and a survivor. However, it is an uphill battle which we are still fighting along with her. Due to the nature and severity of her brain injury, she needs to be in an extensive rehabilitation program which will enable her to return to a normal level of function and independence while improving her quality of life physically, emotionally and socially. At this moment, she is completely dependent on us for her self care, physical care and mobility. Her communication and cognitive skills are also severely affected. As parents, we only want our only child to recover completely and resume her normal life once again. It has been traumatic for us to see her in this condition. We, ourselves, are sustaining with the hope of our daughter’s recovery. By God’s grace and with all your good wishes, continuous help /support, we have been able to take care of her treatments and care thus far. But we do not want any stone to be left unturned in her way of treatment and care which may help bring her back to normal. We would like to take her for neuro rehabilitation and/or clinical trials to as many centers in the nation as she becomes eligible for. But that involves thousands of dollars of expense not just for her treatment but for traveling, lodging, food etc. We believe your unwavering support will help us reach our goal towards our beloved daughter's treatment and recovery.
We are so grateful for your continued support!
Sincerely,
