Debbie and Steve's Fight
Donation protected
Hi friends and family,
As many of you already know, my father, Steve, and my mother, Debbie, have each been fighting their own battle with cancer.
In April 2019, Steve was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer. He underwent surgery in June 2019 at Brigham and Women's Hospital followed by chemotherapy and radiation. Radiation ended at the beginning of October. By the end of the month, he started having difficulty breathing. He was hospitalized locally and then transferred to BWH under the care of his surgeon. He has been at Brigham’s since Thanksgiving Day. Steve has been up and down medically and in and out of ICU. He has now been intubated for 12 days. There is still no definitive diagnosis.
Debbie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on November 11, 2019. She had been working from home caring for Steve. Debbie had bilateral Mastectomies on 12/5/19. She had another surgery on 12/19/19 to remove more cancer cells. Debbie will begin her Chemotherapy on 1/7/20.
Between both Debbie and Steve being out of work, medical bills have been piling up. It has been a very tough road for the two of them as well as the rest of the family. At this point, anything helps. We appreciate everyone who has reached out and kept our family in their thoughts and prayers.
