Debbie Benedict and Family

As some of you may know, there was a fire last night in an apartment

building in Newburgh, NY involving

12 apartments. Though most

occupants were able to escape, one

family was not so fortunate. Debbie

Benedict, also known as Miss Debbie or Debbie Duck, was succumbed to

her death by the engulfing flames.

Inside with her was her adult son,

Justin. With no way to escape himself, he chose to jump from the third floor apartment in hopes to save himself

leaving him in critical condition and is currently hospitalized with many

injuries and broken bones. Debbie

also leaves behind a son, James, who lives in Texas and now needs to get to NY to not only be by his brothers side, but to also plan his mother’s funeral. I am organizing this go fund me in hopes of raising funds to help this family

during this tragic time. Funds to help with travel, medical bills and funeral

services.  I am very fortunate to have known Debbie and her two sons

growing up. She was one of my moms best friends and an overall great

person. She always helped anyone

she could and would give you the

shirt off her back.  The lives of these

two sons will be forever changed, but with a little help, I’m hoping to at least relieve some of the financial burdens

they will be enduring due to this

horrific accident. Please send your
