Debbie Bruggeman Cancer Fundraiser
Donation protected
My sister Julia and I have gotten the chance to get to know our best friend’s mother, Deborah Bruggeman. Anyone who knows her understands the unconditional love and support she has extended towards her friends and family, including us. Recently, Deb has tragically been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, in words from her daughter Diana:
“Courage, compassion, strength and wholeheartedness are all words that describe my mother, Deborah Bruggeman, who was recently diagnosed with stage-III-c ovarian cancer. Although this is an aggressive cancer, my family and I are undeterred in our fight to get my mother the best help and attention she needs to beat this disease. My name is Diana Bruggeman, and I am Deborah’s 19 year old daughter.
In today’s society, we increasingly define our external beauty as an intrinsic part of who we are as people. But beauty goes far beyond our physical attributes. Real beauty is embodied in strength, in courage, in compassion and in heart. My mother has taught me that beauty is also demonstrated by facing your fears head-on and exposing their weaknesses. To me, my mother has never looked as beautiful as she does right now.
My mother is far more than a statistic. Her disease does not define her, nor does it define anyone in similar circumstances. She is a pillar of strength and an inspiration to me. Throughout this unexpected and unwanted journey that she now faces, I will do anything and everything within my power to be there for her.
My family is struggling to keep up with the expense of ongoing medical bills, chemo treatments, hospital stays and surgeries, while still paying their normal household bills on time. As a result, I am asking for your help. There is no such thing as too small a donation. Every little bit helps, and all will be sincerely appreciated and remembered. Thank you. “
