Debbie Foster's Medical Expenses
On Friday, September 29th, Debbie was seemingly healthy. On October 3rd, she was admitted to Baptist Hospital in Beaumont with stage 4 liver cancer. Now, in early December, Debbie is in her final weeks of life. We are all devastated by what has happened to the energetic, full of life woman we knew. Debbie was always on the go. Up at 5:30 am each day, running all day caring for everyone around her. Weekends and evenings were filled with the laughter and fun of her amazing friends and golfing buddies. She is adored by her friends and family.
Debbie underwent treatment at Baptist Hospital in Beautmont as well as MD Anderson in Houston. Unfortunately, last week she was told that further treatment would be futile. She has since entered hospice.
Her mounting medical bills are taking a toll on her partner, Ann. Ann works not only a fulltime job, but she also runs their home pet-sitting business. Because of Debbie's medical needs, Ann has had to take unpaid time off work as well as drastically reduce their pet-sitting business to care for Debbie.
Debbie and Ann are both prideful people. They both hate asking for help. They are typically the helpers. I am Debbie's sister, and I am asking for them. Ann needs our thoughts, prayers, and some financial asisstance at this devastating time.
For those of you who know Debbie personally and locally, please consider sending a message to her or visiting her very soon. She loves so many people and would love to hear from you.
