Debbie Fox Recovery Fund

On November 2 my mother, Debbie Fox, was rushed to the Bloomington Hospital due to a significant stroke she had experienced while being at home alone on that Tuesday afternoon. From Bloomington she was life lined to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to receive the best care possible. While at Methodist we learned that there was dangerous swelling in her brain which required a craniotomy surgery to make more room for her brain to swell and minimize pressure. She has maintained her fighting strength through all of this and the surgery went well. While we are extremely thankful that she is still with us today, we are acknowledging that she will have a long road to recovery. The stroke has left significant damage to her body. She is suffering from paralysis on the left side of her body, some vision impairment, and the inability to eat as she typically would.

We are beyond grateful for all of the thoughts and prayers that she has received from all of you. She truly has a great army of support standing behind her through all of this. As we are learning more and more about her recovery it has become apparent that life will be changing drastically. This change and recovery will require a new home to accommodate one story living and all of the equipment that may come with it. We are also expecting expenses for rehabilitation recovery, doctors’ appointment travel, medical bills, etc. For these reasons, we are taking up a donation to help cover the previously mentioned expenses to help get her back on track. If you are unable to donate, prayers and thoughts are welcomed with open arms. We will gratefully accept any support we can get right now no matter what they may be.
