Debbie Hanson Transplant Fund
On June 8, 2017, Debbie was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Disorder Syndrom). This is a bone marrow disorder in which the bone marrow does not produce healthy blood cells. Debbie was told her only option was to have a Bone Marrow Transplant. On June 14, 2017, Debbie went to UW Health in Madison and met with a specialist and they did determine that she would be able to have a transplant once a donor was found. Debbie's children, Cory and Kaylene, along with her brother's Ronnie and Bobby were all tested. It was determined that Cory, Kaylene and Ronnie were all matches and unfortunately Bobby was not. The doctor said that Cory would be the best match. As of right now, pending some testing, the transplant is set for August 15, 2017.
Since this all began, Debbie has not been able to work and will not be able to work for quite a long period of time. She has been taking Chemo, preparing for the transplant. After the transplant she is going to have a very long recovery. They expect her to be in the hospital a minmum of a month.
This ordeal has been very financially draining on Debbie and Brian. They have lost most of Debbie's income, and Brian has had to miss alot of work and will have to miss more through this whole procedue. They are going to be having alot of large doctor bills to pay along with their regular bills .
This was a very unexpected and devasting diagnosis, which is going to be life changing for Debbie and Brian. Any help anyone could give would be greatly apprecaited.
All monies received will help to offset the huge amount of medical bills that are going to be coming in.
