Dean Kivitt’s wife, Debbie, lost her long battle with cancer today.
Dean, Debbie, & his daughter Tonya, all have a special place in Abilene Motor Express history as part of our family driving along beside us. Dean has also trained countless students, and been apart of them developing their careers in our field.
I’ve personally never met as hard a working man as Dean. He went home as little as three times a year in order to pay for his wife’s medical expenses. That took its toll on Dean and he has been unable to work for some time due to his own medical conditions. He is currently doing everything that he can to return to work for us but its a matter of time, patience, and healing.
There is no going into remission for this type of cancer. This particular cause hits me close to home, as my cousin was diagnosed with the same type of cancer very recently. Debbie was able to use her experience with the condition to offer some insight and comfort to her. With this type of cancer there is only the prolonging of life to give the patient the most comfortable life as possible.
The Kivitt family now needs our help. I placed the goal at $1000 but I know if we all pool together and utilize the power of social media we can do so much more. Please take a moment to give what you’re able. I know it will be more appreciated than you can possibly know.
Thank you!
