Most of the family and several close friends are aware of Debbie’s current situation. We’re so sorry if this is how you are finding out but we’ve tried to reach out to as many as possible. Stan and Debbie were on their way to Boluxi on a much needed and well deserved mini vacation when they were involved in a tragic car accident near Tuskegee, AL. It is believed that Stan had a massive heart attack behind the wheel therefore swerving off the road and then into a line of trees. Stan was pronounced dead on the scene and Debbie was life flighted to the nearest hospital. She was then transferred to Baptist Health Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL due to her injuries. She sustained multiple rib fractures, 2 vertebral fractures, a lacerated spleen, severed renal artery, right lung collapsed, and a concussion. She was in surgical ICU for 4 days and is now in a regular room with a chest tube and working with Physical Therapy every day to get her strength back. The medical care team at the hospital have been amazing!!! Unfortunately they’re unable to give a definitive discharge date at this time and Debbie is without health insurance. She had just started a new job and insurance has not kicked in yet. She is going to need your help and every little bit counts!! Please give what you can and keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she goes through this long recovery process.
-Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
