Debbie is  27 years old women diagnosed with terminal cancer in February 2019. She went to visit a doctor for renal insufficiency and was told she will have around 3 more months based on her condition. She came to the U.S.A  when she was 6 years old with her parents, leaving her old sister behind from Mexico ( D.F).  Her mom cleans in a KC hotel and her dad works for a landscape company.
She is determined to fight against this cancer with chemo, acupuncture, meditation, and medication. We are in April and she is still with us fighting like a lion willing to live a long and pleasant life

She has medical insurance through her job, but as you can imagine in less than 2 months the medical bills have crazily increased. No one can help her with the pain she has to go through, or with the idea of losing her entire hair, or with the sickness she feels every day, however, my objective is to take out something from her plate by helping her to pay these ridiculous medical bills which are exceeding her. She is brave and strong enough to overcome this cancer, but unfortunately, health and assistant in this country seem to be luxury which just " some" can afford.

I will let you  read what she posted publically when she was ready to tell the world what she was going through:

"I’ve learned a few things.
The prognosis of terminal cancer is exactly what it is. A prognosis derived from statistical analysis of people that have had your disease. What it does not take into consideration is the woman behind that disease. The heart of a lion who has trained numerous times for races/ half marathons at extreme temperatures ran with all the ills and pains the body could bring and has pushed her limits past the breaking point. Has done more push ups/pull ups than most women I met my size and squatted more than I ever even imagined I’d hold on my back. It doesn’t talk about the endless nights up studying biochemistry and organic chemistry so I could achieve the goals I had set out to do. It doesn’t talk about the sacrifices to see my family’s smile every dang day, so they don’t struggle. It doesn’t talk about the battle I’ve overcome as a Mexican immigrant who didn’t speak English for years when she lived here. It doesn’t talk about my personal past, my present and sure in the heck does not define my future. This trail in my life does NOT KNOW WHO IT’S UP AGAINST!"

" He aprendido alguna cosas.

Thinking that you will never be in this situation, it is a horrible mistake we all make. Unfortunately, this happens to people who you love more often than what you'd desire.
