Get Debbie Home Stress Free Fund

Our strong, amazing, loving, mother just completed a very difficult surgery for complications with colon cancer. The two day surgery was a success and Debbie has been slowly recovering at the Mayo clinic in Minnesota. We're hoping that sometime the middle of next week she'll be able to make it back home to Ohio. Because of the operation sitting is very difficult, she can't really sit in one position for more than 45min. This makes getting home very uncomfortable, as Mayo clinic is in a smaller Minnesota town that doesn't have direct flights to Cleveland, then it's an hour and a half drive from there. Luckily, her knight in shining amor, our stepfather, has a good friend who owns an eight seater plane that can fly, pick them up and bring them home. This option allows them to fly directly into the town they live, thus cutting off hours and hours of uncomfortable travel time.

The goal of this page is to raise enough funds to cover fuel and transportation cost. Anything raised over the goal will help cover hotel cost for the last two months of living in Minnesota and medical copays.

Our parents did not ask for an act of charity, it was our idea to ask those willing, to pitch in what they could as a gesture of goodwill. This is Debbie's third major surgery in her six year battle with cancer. She has made it through this most recent obstacle because of everyone's continued support and prayers. It is our hope and belief that this is the last major bump in the road to full recovery.
