Debbie's Bone Cancer Treatment

Gail, Margaret, Patty, Shari and Susan  have joined forces to raise funds for Debbie’s Bone Cancer Treatment, surgeries and loss of income. Debbie had to stop working at Margaret’s American Family Insurance Agency in July due to extreme pain levels from Cancer Mets to her spine. In addition to her loss of income, Debbie has now endured 2 arm fractures, a hip fracture, 2 surgeries within a weeks time, and is beginning the next phase of treatments and physical therapy.

Monday, August 8, 2022 our friend Debbie Mohr broke her right arm getting up in the morning and was rushed to Froedert MCW Hospital in Milwaukee. Debbie had been courageously fighting Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer since November 2017. Debbie was hospitalized Monday afternoon by her Oncology Team to help get her pain level under control before surgery scheduled on Thursday to repair her arm.

While being prepped for surgery on Thursday her other arm also tragically broke. She was quickly rushed into surgery where both arms had intramedullary nails placed to stabilize her arms, and heal and prevent further damage and breaks.

Sadly Debbie then spent the next several days having various x-rays and MRI’s to confirm the devastating news that her cancer had indeed spread to other bones. She immediately began radiation to slow and hopefully stop the spread.

August 18th Debbie had another surgery for a partial left hip replacement where there was a fracture below the ball and to place another intramedullary nail in her right femur to prevent a painful break.

The family is now in need of real financial assistance to help pay for these unforeseen surgeries and her next phase of treatment. Greg and Debbie attend Bridge Church in Waukesha and as well as having strong ties to Community Church in Waterford and have lived a life helping others.
