Debert Elementary School Playground Upgrade

Debert Elementary school was directly impacted by the Nova Scotia tragedy, in April, with the loss of grade ¾ teacher, Lisa McCully.

Debert Elementary's Parent Teacher Association is ambitiously raising money for a playground upgrade,  dedicated to Lisa McCully's memory - a fitting tribute to her passion for the outdoors and her love for teaching.

While the primary - grade six school has been in need of new playground equipment for some time, the current pandemic (and changes to playground use) has made this need more apparent than ever. 

Not only would a playground upgrade impact the students experience, but would also be enjoyed by the Debert community as well. 

This new playground, dedicated to Lisa's memory will be a bright light to our small school (and community) after such a dark time.
