My Mommy was an extraordinary and beautiful soul, always lending a helping hand to others during their darkest moments. She had a special gift for being a compassionate listener, offering support to those in need, and even providing a place for people to stay with her and her husband Doug. However, in the last few years, Mom's health issues compounded, eventually confining her to bed, and she needed Doug's unwavering love and care until her final moments.

During her hospitalization, Doug made significant adjustments to their home to accommodate her disability. He purchased a ramp, widened her bedroom door, acquired a special bathtub, hospital bed, and a Hoyer lift, all to aid her with daily activities. Sadly, Mom never got to return home, and now Doug is grappling with the heavy financial burden of these modifications.

During my Mom's illness, Doug had to suspend his roofing maintenance company to offer full-time care, which resulted in significant financial challenges for him. Now, the burden of her medical bills, cremation, and memorial expenses has made the situation even more difficult.

We are determined to honor Mom's memory with a simple yet fitting memorial, reflecting her boundless love for others, even though she often neglected herself. Additionally, we recognize Doug's selfless and nurturing presence throughout this challenging time, serving as a rock for our family. Now, we want to provide him with the support he needs to regain stability and find his footing once again.
