Deborah Triplett Memorial Mural

Donation protected
We invite you to join us in commemorating the life and legacy of the late Deborah Triplett, a cherished Plaza Midwood resident, neighbor, artist, photographer, friend, and advocate for human and animal rights.

Deborah’s life and her brave, gracious, and fierce battle against cancer left an indelible mark on our community. To celebrate her spirit, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign to erect a mural in her honor in the heart of Plaza Midwood.

Deborah was a friend and ardent supporter of artists and also the visionary founder of Yard Art Day. To celebrate and memorialize her passion for art and community, a team of local artists will create a vibrant mural that will serve as a lasting tribute and a focal point for our neighborhood. The location of the mural will be next door to Moxie Mercantile at the intersection of Commonwealth and The Plaza. Not only will it be a testament to Deborah, but it will celebrate the uniqueness and the spirit of Plaza Midwood.

Our Goal: $15,000

To bring this project to life, we need your support. Your contributions will go towards materials, artist fees, and the overall realization of this meaningful mural. Every donation, no matter the size, is a step towards making this project a reality.

Special Opportunity for Donors!

For donations of $250 or more, we are offering a unique opportunity for you to actively participate in the mural process. Donors at this level or greater will be invited to join the team of artists as they create the first layer of the mural - a “love letter” to Deborah - in a private painting session.

Meet the Team: Sharon Dowell and Friends

Renowned muralist Sharon Dowell will lead a team of LOCAL artists - Tom Thoune, Mike Wirth, Cher Cosper, and Rosalia Torres Weiner - who shared a special connection with Deborah. Special thanks to the team at Gökotta for their work in making this happen. Their collective creativity will ensure that the mural reflects Deborah’s vibrant personality and the values she held dear.

Join us in honoring Deborah Triplett and contributing to the cultural richness of Plaza Midwood. Together, let's make this mural a symbol of love, community, and the enduring spirit of a remarkable individual. Donate today and be part of the legacy.

*Funds go directly to the Plaza Midwood Merchants Assoc. They will distribute to artists and to cover all materials costs.
