Deborah Walker's Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
The scholarship fund has been renamed to the Walker Memorial Scholarship Fund to recognize both Deborah and Savannah Walker who we lost in the span of a month; Deborah to pancreatic cancer and Savannah to senseless gun violence. Below is what Savannah initially wrote as she originated the scholarship fund. All funds will still go toward providing teachers access to advanced educational opportunities. Thank you so much for your support.
She lost her battle with cancer on February 18, 2017. She fought a good fight, the end came quicker than any of us expected and now she's no longer suffering. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Deborah T. Walker Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund will be used to provide teachers access to advanced educational opportunities. She would want you to remember her as the strong, vibrant woman who loved life and loved her family. On behalf of my father Dean, my brother Nate and myself we thank you for your donation.
