Deborah Mackenzie Fund

Hi guys, my name is Makenna King and my Godmother, Deborah MacKenzie, is currently in the ICU in San Francisco. On Saturday night (9/10/22), she experienced chest pain leading her to the ER. When she arrived at the ER, she was diagnosed with an acute aortic dissection… a tear in her aorta. She was immediately transported to San Francisco for an emergency open heart surgery.

During her surgery, she suffered from 2 mild strokes and struggled to move her left leg, left arm and left hand. Her lungs also collapsed and had 2 tubes inserted through her chest.

Deborah has an extremely long healing journey ahead of her. She will not be able to work for awhile, won’t be able to drive and will need to be taken back and forth to physical therapy and doctor’s appointments. Her bills (medical and living expenses, including rent, utilities and food) will continue to pile up. If you know Deborah personally, you know she has the biggest heart, is very energetic and is often the life of the party. She would give her shirt off her back for anyone!! Many of you have probably been touched by her kindness.
