Debra Megrath's Cancer Fundraiser

With a heavy, yet strong heart, I’m reaching out for my sister, Debra Megrath who was diagnosed with stage 3 uterine cancer at the end of 2021. Deb has always been a hard worker now she is unable to. She's a self-employed Caterer. As you can imagine she could certainly use the help paying living expenses, medical and the rising cost of everything! Deb currently doesn't have her own place to live and would love to be back in her 'own place'.

 

Although Deb has always helped everyone, in every way and especially for fundraisers she is very humble. She’s donated time, food, money & whatever has been asked of her and even when she wasn’t asked. She always has given everything she could. Now Deb needs us!

 

She had a full hysterectomy, started chemo last week and has a plan for chemo, radiation, and more chemo as of right now. She has a long road ahead of her.

 

Sad part is she wasn’t going to get her regular checks ups due to lack of health insurance. We need to make sure this doesn’t happen to family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. GET preventive tests!

I am mesmerized with the ENDLESS support from Family & Friends due to my diagnosis with aggressive uterine cancer. This came on very quickly with not much warning of a potential illness. However, Sept-Dec I had surgeries to determine the treatment plan. Which is in place. I am FOREVER GRATEFUL for the fast and efficient medical care during this horrific medical nightmare! I can’t express enough. You got a problem let’s fix it... POSITIVELY

You might notice it says Sonja Ledford - she is a wonderful family friend who thankfully stepped up to assist with the finances.  This is Deb's benefit with her in charge of the financial end.  Again - we are thankful for her in many ways!

 

My sister and our family thank you in advance for helping her at such a difficult time. We appreciate all of those who have reached out, have kept the prayers coming and being there for Deb and all of us.
