Deb's Journey
Donation protected
“We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey.” – Kenji Miyazawa
As many people know Deb has always been a giver. A giver of love, hope, strength, and confidence. She has never backed down from a fight and will always be the first one there to back you up whether it's with her fists or with her mouth. I could simply go on about what a great person she is and how hard she has worked in her life to be where she is today. She's a loving daughter, mother, gaga, and friend. About a year ago Deb was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and has been fighting ever since. About a month ago she found out that not only did she have thyroid cancer but she had a very rare form of it called Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. Anaplastic thyroid cancer grows very rapidly and is an invasive type of thyroid cancer. It occurs most often in people over age 60. The cause is unknown. Deb needs us all now more than ever, even if it is just a dollar anything will help her through this journey of unknown. She has an amazing support team, but we need to remind her that she isn't in this alone. Treatment has not been easy thus far and strong prayers and thoughts are certainly needed as well. We thank you in advance for your generous donation to kick cancer's ass!
Further Information Regarding Treatment:
This type of cancer cannot be cured by surgery. Complete removal of the thyroid gland does not prolong most patients' lives.
Of other treatment options, only radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy has a significant benefit.
