Story

Aloha, is mise Peneleapaí Is ceoltoir mé in Éirinn. Tá stór amhrán agam, agus ba bhreá liom dluth dhiosca a dhéanadh leo .. an féidir leat cabhradh liom ? I'm Peneleapaí, an Irish artist putting out my collection of original songs into the big bad world of proper music industry channels, and I need help to really put this project in flight. I'm working on this exciting maiden run with a producer named Dan Scholes, whose fee for fully mixed and mastered track is about 1.6k (each). If I record it in his studio, it will add up to around 2k. I'm hoping to send him my song pre-recorded somewhere first in Éirinn. But just incase something comes up, and I need to get over to Dan's studio (in the UK), so I'm asking for the 2k. If I don't require the full 2k, then I have me heart fixed on printing a songbook - and accompanying workshops (which I've been running for couple years already) when the elements play nice and everyting lines up. This is the BIG VISION for my life. For so many different reasons, it's taken til now to make it happen. Your support would be so amazing and deeply appreciated. It may seem like a big amount for just one single song to be released, but seemingly, it is an expensive industry. I have been sharing my own songs publicly since 2011 (was a trad singer before then, from about 2003), and have DIY'd (and lucked!) my way, to arrive at alot of exciting and fun places. Including...... opening for Damien Dempsey (and Rónán Ó Snodaigh), singing with Liam Ó Maonlaí, and pretty much learning the craft with none other than... YOU-guessed-it, the bard of Passage West himself, sir John Spillane. To be really uncomfortably honest tho, there have also been years when I struggled with life/being alive, and music-making was off the radar altogether. I know we are not aLone in our seasons of success and of struggle, and my prayer is that perhaps sharing my songs in the way that they are most digestible/accessible (ie., properly released) would be a small contribution towards easing the suffering of anyone else who's experienced similar things in life.. or indeed, if they are uplifted by my songs (so the better!) ?? FULL DISCLOSURE Optional reading Even tho I might seem like a spring chicken, I wasn't born yesterday, and my personal motivation (sorry notsorry to say it, lads) is those near and dear to me. All those years of accompanying me I'm sure has taken its toll on your own sanity and autonomic nervous system. I often feel the proximity of father Death, and perhaps like concepts of black and white, I can also receive that same presence as a friendly coach, imparting some pre-game motivation for getting my act together!
