Decker family - Fire recovery fund

On June 30th, the Decker home was consumed by a devastating fire. While Nick Decker (my Father), my 18-year-old Sister, (she wanted to stay anonymous) and her boyfriend went on a short trip to the grocery store. Mason (my step brother) was left for this short period to watch over Henry (my 3-year-old brother) in the home. As they were in my dads room watching a movie, Mason noticed a dark cloud of smoke coming from my my sisters bedroom. Reluctantly, he went to investigate what was happening. He heard the family cat meowing for help and when he went to open the bedroom door, but the door knob was hot to the touch. As brave as he was to try and open the door to save the cat, he was unable and knew what he had to do next. Mason grabbed little Henry to get him out of the house. He took one last look down the hall to my sisters room, he saw a bright flash under the door and heard a loud "Boom". He wasted no time to run to the Neighbors for help and get to safety.
The Neighbors called my Father and he rushed home with the rest of the family to see exactly what was going on. They could see smoke a couple blocks from the house and they then knew how dangerous this situation really is. When they got home they were happy to see the children were safe, but were heartbroken when they realized everything they've worked hard for had turned to ash.
Unfortunately, they could not save one of the family cats. The other was outside hiding, so they later retrieved the other family cat. They did not have home insurance, and are having a hard time finding another place to live, all while grieving the loss of their home and beloved cat. If something isn't done fast, the family will have no choice but to separate to live with other family and friends. This will help ease their minds temporarily but will not help solve the problem with a permanent solution so they may all be together again.
Times are tough this year for everyone this year considering there are so many important campaigns, fundraisers and causes to donate to this 2020. All though I have donated to many of these important causes, this one hit very close to home and I have donated my entire savings for my first car to my family for new clothes and extra money for food. This did help them for the time being, but we are asking the community for a little extra help in this life changing event. If it isn't possible to make a donation, this is understandable. We do ask that you share with your friends and family to help during this incredibly sad time.
The goal for the Decker family is $10,000 to cover the cost of a new place, new furniture, new clothes and new toys for little Henry. Thank you all so much for taking the time to listen and share.
