Declan Laverty- Darwin Memorial

Hi, I’m friends with both Damo (Damian) Crook and his beautiful partner Ange. Their son, Declan was murdered 2 days ago whilst working at BWS. Please read the lovely words about Declan from his family .

Declan just turned 20 in Feb and was an aspiring rap artist just getting some runs on the board. He was hoping to take his music to Brisbane for further exposure but until that happened he was working his days n nights at BWS airport tavern

Like every kid he was funny liked his carefree life

Hated cooking and loved that his doting dad Damo made him meals to come home to after a long shift

Apart from being father and son they shared a unit and were like frat buddies

Watched their fav tv series watched their sports and have some great laughs

Declan had some great mates who have showed their love and support to Damo over these trying days

Any support and help towards Damos share of funeral costs and travel to Cairns, Declan’s home town for the ceremony will help

Damian also needs time to grieve and only newly changed jobs he will be stressed about his days to days expenses and need to be able to grieve and heal in his own time .

Update

Damo is thrilled and humbled by the support he has been shown. This morning when interviewed by Karl Stefanovic he stated that he would use the funds for a Darwin memorial.
