Deconstruct Recreate
Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. You are invited to join Creative Art Therapy Australia (CATA) formerly the 'Art Cabriolet' and Beau Brooks in giving youth at risk and adolescents braving trauma a voice.
Beau Brooks has been in the entertainment industry for 8 years and is currently completing a Bachelors in Audio Engineering. Brooks has entered into a partnership with Creative Art Therapy Australia (CATA) and Sound and Audio Engineering (SAE) Institute to produce a Creative ARTS Therapy program that creates music with children and adolescents braving trauma.
Deconstruct Recreate uses music, song writing, recording, singing and movement as a forum to counsel, express, communicate and make sense of challenging circumstance for its participants. This three way partnership will ensure recording studios are available at SAE Institute to carry out music sessions; Creative Art Therapists counsel as required during the music creating process; and that mentorship, guidance and development of music is harnessed under the guidance of Beau Brooks. Our tailored program is designed around each individual. Here is a snapshot:
Deconstruct Recreate
1 hour of a tailored music research session
1 hour of of lyric writing and ideation of song creation
1 hour of shaping lyrics and melody over pre produced music
2 hours of recording vocals which will include a shootout (selecting) microphones
Art Therapists with counselling experience for each individual with 5 allocated sessions for each participant in the program
Professional studios (provided by SAE), delivering a person centred, safe environment for therapeutic practice
Professional instruments and equipment
Either 1 artist or 1 audio engineer
CATA is a registered Not-for-Profit organisation with ACNC, has DGR 1 and is enlisted as a Public Benevolent Institution with the ATO. CATA provides multiple platforms for Creative Art Therapy targeting remedial outcomes for children/adolescents in trauma or living with challenging circumstances. CATA uses art and music in all its mediums and forums to emotionally strengthen children dealing with physical or psychological distress. Programs are custom built and delivered in conjunction with health carers, social workers, psychologists, teachers, allied health and other industry professionals. Programs are conducted in safe, creative and fun environments to nurture mental health and build resiliency in children/adolescents in need.
Deconstruct Recreate uses educational content to increase self-esteem and develop self-empowerment as we believe in the power of creativity to positively change mindsets.
CATA believes that the freedom and flow of creativity is the key for those in need to find their voice. Join our journey and watch it unfold on social media platforms in the music industry. We welcome all inquiries at [email redacted].au
