Dee Dee Acree Cancer Battle

My name is Patty and I am raising funds for my cousin Dee Dee Acree. Dee Dee was diagnosed with Invasive Carcinoma Breast Cancer in 2016 and has been in remission until January 23 ,2023 and was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma . Chemo and surgery was put on hold due to a blood clot in her lung, Dee Dee was preparing for surgery in June and started having stomach issues. Dee Dee life changed drastically on July 14. Dee Dee’s biopsy revealed Peritoneal Carcinoma Stage 3 and is rare to occur. Dee Dee and her family have been on a roller coaster ride since January and is in a fight for her life. Time is not in her favor with multiple diagnosis but has a great support system and cancer team at Moffit. Dee Dee is prepping for surgery in the next two weeks “ Debulking Surgery” as the focus is the Peritoneal Cancer. Surgery is a 8 week recovery and will follow with extensive chemotherapy at Moffit in Tampa.

DeeDee is a wife, mom, daughter, and a “Gee” to her grandchildren. We are requesting prayers for comfort, strength, and positive vibes as she starts her toughest job yet.

This fight has taken a financial burden on her and her family since January and will continue to travel weekly to Moffit, testing, surgery , rehab and chemotherapy.
