Dee Dee Phillips

Hello, my name is Kelly Muldrew. I am an acting correspondent for the Hope High School class of 1995. We are creating this G0FundMe account for our classmate Dee Dee Phillips.

Dee Dee is facing Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cancer in her right eye. She is a Veteran of the United States Army post 911 Iraq War Veteran. She was diagnosed on January 17, 2023. After being diagnosed with cancer a few days later, she lost her late husband on January 25th, 2023. This tremendous loss caused all her income to cease immediately.

She has stage 3 cancer and has had to have multiple surgeries. She also has to see a specialist for this rare form of cancer in Birmingham, Alabama, but she lives in Huntsville, Alabama. This means she has had to travel for treatments and appointments, on top of having to have someone drive her. She is facing at least 18 months of immunotherapy, radiation, and chemotherapy. She cannot earn money and work because the treatments will cause her to be permanently blind in at least my cancer eye. She also has two minor children that she has to care for.
