Dee Dee's bills and medical expenses after stroke

My name is Demetrius Valentine but everyone knows me by Dee Dee. February 21st my whole life changed. I had a massive stroke due to a blood clot in my brain. I was transported on an emergency flight to anchorage to Alaska Regional Hospital where I spent 10 days in the ICU. And then 5 weeks in the rehabilitation unit. We just arrived back home to Fairbanks and the bills are already very overdue and we just need time to get things in order. They weren't sure I would survive the stroke because it was so severe. It caused half of my body to no longer function. The proper term is hemiplegia. I still can't walk, and I can't stand. I will need therapy and rehabilitation daily to regain my basic skills like walking, standing, and caring for my self. My family and friends and significant other have been helping me to get by and complete my daily tasks. I have no idea when or if I will be able to go back to work. Being a chef at Pikes Landing for 20+ years, I truly just hope that I am able to cook again one day soon. If you can't donate anything, that's okay, please share with friends and family members. I really don't like to ask for help but sometimes you don't have many choices. We are working on getting disability and other resources in place. This is for food, rent and numerous medical expenses that we cannot afford now that I have no income until my disability case is processed. I appreciate all of the help and any one who shares this.
