**New Update** 1-25-24
Last week we found out some devastating news that Deeston is now terminal, treatment can only prolong his life, his overall quality of life is still well but is very slowly deteriorating he is having to take 17 pills a day and 19 on the weekends, despite through it all Deeston still manages to not want to back down with this strong regiment. We've been just taking it one day at a time and continuing to pray. Anything donated will be going to our travels and to help pay for Deestons treatments for as long as he is able to and or chooses to want them.
Thank you!

**Update**
Deeston had an MRI yesterday August 16th 2023. In his MRI roughly 5-6 tumors were found on his spine one tumor 1cm×1cm sitting on the bottom of his spine. The other tumors are .5mm and also some smaller, We've been accepted into a immunotherapy clinical trial in Augusta Georgia for children with relapse medulloblastoma. Deestons insurance will not cover the expense for lab and clinic visits because it is out of state. We will still be traveling to Charlotte as well for some treatments and or appointments his insurance will cover. Anything donated will be to help with travel and costs of labs and clinic visits and food and gas while we are traveling.

Hello my name is Allison I'm trying to raise funds to help our family during my son's fight against pediatric brain cancer.
My son Deeston was first diagnosed with Medulloblastoma on October 21st 2021 prior to this he had a tumor removed from the cerebellum part of his brain and sent off for testing. Deeston then had a month stay in the hospital to try and recover. After his body had two months to heal he then went into 6 weeks of radiation followed by 9 cycles of maintence chemotherapy. During treatment his MRIs of head and spine remained clear. Roughly 4.5 months after finishing chemotherapy an MRI of brain and spine was done and it was then discussed with his doctor that he had infact relapsed only this time a tumor was found on his spinal cord (T5) the tumor itself is exactly half an inch this time. We was given options to clinical studies as his doctor informed us the prior treatment he recieved should have gave us a minimum of 6-8 months at least before a relapse. However it didn't take long to spread therefore the doctor has gave Deeston a difficult prognosis at this time.
Deeston will be having surgery on his spine July 10th to remove the new tumor and it will be sent off for gene testing, His doctor will be taking this information and then matching aggressive chemotherapy drugs that will help fight the genes that caused the tumor.
I will provide updates on here during treatment.
Money raised will go into the travels from home to Charlotte as well as food and any other needs we may have while Dee begins his second journey.
