Dee Isolation Challenge
We are fundraising for Blood Cancer UK because I have been a patient having treatment for CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia) since 2018.
The Challenge is to sail in an 18ft Catamaran with my son Cam, unsupported from Dee Sailing Cub on the Wirral to Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland to visit my mother with stops in Anglesey and Isle of Man, a distance of more than 268 km. My mum and I have been isolated from each other a great deal for the last 2 years. We will also raise funds for the RNLI and keep in close co-operation with regard to safety. Weather window permitting the challenge will be completed between 1 May and 31 July 2022. In the event we cannot complete in the window we will update you but the challenge will definitely be completed.
We are raising money in aid of Blood Cancer UK and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
