Dee Roehl's Medical Expenses

Thank you for coming to check out the GoFundMe page for my wife, Jerredeen “Dee” Roehl, and I. My name is Tim Allen and we’re facing a challenge right now as a result of surgery that Dee had April 5 and 6, 2018.
Prior to April 5 Dee had been struggling with a nerve condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). This condition can range in pain from intermittent to constant, of which Dee had the latter. It is the most violent version of TN. She described it as a constant “bacon sizzle” on her face and that on a scale of 1-10, her sizzle was a 6-7. She then described that some 50-100 times a day, that pain would shoot to a 50 for periods of a few minutes to as long as a few hours.
April 5 Dee had a surgery at the UC Irvine Medical Center to correct this condition by renown surgeon in this area, Dr. Mark Linskey. The surgery was a success in that it has evidently corrected the condition and Dee no longer has the sizzle in her face. However, there were complications with her surgery that caused her brain to swell. This required a second surgery in which Dr. Linskey had to reopen the wound, remove a portion of her cerebellum and had material to the sack that surrounds her brain to allow it room to swell and not hit the brain stem. That surgery has evidently been successful, but the recovery from that second surgery has caused a drastic change in her recovery timeline and created a number of other unexpected expenditures.
We are asking her friends, family and acquaintances, as well as people around the Internet, to consider helping us cover these additional costs. Right now we are expecting to have to pay for several extra weeks of hotels and food for Tim as he stays by her side in Irvine. It is also expected that Dee will need to fly back to Montana via a medical charter, which we expect the insurance to cover at least a portion of. There will also be additional rehab, either in Irvine or Montana, that will also to the mounting costs of this recovery.
Our goal amount of for what we believe will be the worst-case scenario. If we achieve this goal or go beyond it, and end up incurring fewer expenses than that total, we would actively seek other individuals, couples and/or groups that we could share your gifts with. We want to be as respectful and open with your gifts as possible and assure you that they will go towards helping people that are sincerely in need.
