Deep breath for izabelle 2.0

Donation protected
As you may or may not know Izabelle had a double lung transplant on October 19th, 2020 which was a success.  She got her life back again and was able to walk and breathe again without oxygen and went back to work and was happy.
Unfortunately,  last year August 2022,  Izabelle started feeling unwell, she was experiencing severe shortness of breath and couldn't walk very far without having to stop to breathe. Immediately, we contacted her transplant doctor and after performing many tests, it was found that she was suffering from rejection.

From there they admitted her to the General Hospital in Ottawa on August 16th, 2022 and given a high dose of IV steroids for 3 days to try and reverse the rejection.
Unfortunately, it didn't work so they informed her to go to Toronto General Hospital as soon as possible to receive a treatment called thymoglobulin that once again was done with an IV.
After the medication was done they sent her home and waited to see if the rejection had stopped.  Unfortunately it didn't help and the doctor told Izabelle that she now suffered from (CLAD) Chronic Lung Allograft Dysfunction and her only option was to get another double lung transplant.

In the last year, since she was told that she needed new lungs, Izabelle has worked very hard at losing the weight gained from the steroids and getting herself ready and strong for a 2nd surgery.
Recently, she was told she will be going back on the transplant list with another move to Toronto in the nearest future.

With the help of friends, family members, co-workers and many other great souls Izabelle was able to reach her gofundme goals in 2020 but with that being said, with the balance that we still have it will not take us very far in this economy.
The cost of living is out of control everywhere and with Toronto being at the top of the list and one of the most expensive cities in Canada, we have no choice but to ask for help again to ensure that Izabelle can stay in Toronto to receive another pair of lungs and save her life.

Izabelle and her family live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The surgery will take place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, about 300 miles away. Due to the nature of the surgery, the family must be ready to go at a moment's notice. This means that they must leave Ottawa for a period of up to 2 years (the approximate wait list time for a double lung transplant) and move to Toronto; one of the most expensive cities in Canada. In her current condition, Izabelle is unable to work currently. Her mother Jo-Anne and her boyfriend Juan will be coordinating visits ensuring that Izabelle is constantly being cared for.
Your generous contributions will help with the expenses such as Rent, Utilities, food  transportation, as well as their current bills.
Let me stress that Izabelle,  Jo-Anne and Juan are not looking for a handout.
They wouldn't ask if they weren’t in serious need. The simple fact is, this is a life-saving surgery. It's not optional. It's not nice to have. It's life-saving. So, if you can spare a few dollars to help this young woman in her time of need, it would be deeply appreciated.
