Annette's Colon Cancer Battle

Cancer definitely does not discriminate. Who would have thought my super healthy (healthy than me-her daughter!!) would get Colorectal Cancer…Stage 3c at that!
I can’t even count the number of marathons my mom has ran on my two hands. Is it 50 yet mom?? She has always been a relatively healthy eater too. So when she went to get a colonoscopy and said they discovered a mass. I was positive it was going to be benign. No way my mom was going to get cancer. She's just way too healthy! The next week the pathology report comes back positive. So then I’m thinking hopefully it is stage 1 or stage 2 at the most. After meeting with colorectal surgeon a couple weeks later and getting the MRI, CT Scan and sedation flex exam we found out she has Stage 3c. My prayer is that this STAYS a stay 3c while we try to get the doctors to start treatment.
My mom needs your help. She is self pay but does have some assistance. The bill that has been quoted is either $225,000 or over $500,000 depending on which route she chooses to go. They are also wanting this amount UPFRONT!! As we are trying to work on getting assistance, I know not all of it is going to be covered. So we need some help. At this point, I am not sure how much help so I just put a starting amount. She is going to be out of work for many weeks; so she needs assistance to help with lost income, gas to go to and from Dallas for treatments (she lives 1.5 hrs away!), funding for prescriptions that will be issued, expensive supplements to try and help fight the cancer naturally and so on. I am sure there are so many missing expenses that I am forgetting. Right now I am trying to set up an agreement with them to start treatment and set up weekly payments. I have not heard back if they will approve of this plan. I really don’t understand why they would not.
Annette has always been actvitely involved in charity work. Organizing fun runs for individuals needing medical treatment themselves and she started the first Annual Tour De Glen Rose in which all proceeds went to charity. Since organizing runs are not my expertise, I am seeking to help my mom through this campaign. My mom has always been one to help others, I am now asking if you can hel my mom; to help ease the financial stress this is going to cause her (and has already been causing her). Thank you so much!
