Defend Against Escambia County's Frivolous Lawsuit

My name is Alex Arduini and I have been named as a Defendant in a frivolous SLAPP (strategic lawsuit against public participation) lawsuit by the Escambia County Florida Government and the Escambia Board of County Commissioners. I am being sued because of a Facebook comment I made and they claim that I have a copy of Escambia County Commissioner Jeff Bergosh’s communications. I need your help in defending myself against these false claims and unprecedented legal action that attempts to claw back public records and gag my first amendment right to speak about this public issue in the future. I was served the court documents 2 weeks before Christmas, perfect timing of course! Now I need your help to retain an attorney in my defense of this absolute waste of your tax dollars.

Escambia County is asking a judge for an unconstitutional gag order which will deny my first amendment protected right to freedom of speech! The Pensacola News Journal, Gannett Media, our local newspaper, is also named as a defendant along with an ex county employee Jonathan Owens. I am just a tax paying citizen of Pensacola, Escambia County Florida. Our tax dollars are being used against me to file this frivolous SLAPP lawsuit.
