Defend Chris and Hollie's RIGHT to Homeschooling Freedom

Hi, we’re Chris and Hollie.

For the past two years, we’ve been dedicated homesteaders, working tirelessly to clear our land and build what we consider our Holy place on Earth. Our family motto is simple: "Harm No One and Live with Nature According to God's Law." We strive to live in harmony, respecting the laws of both the land and nature.

On August 12th, while filming a video for our YouTube channel, The Chris and Hollie Show, we were immersed in one of our latest projects—constructing a cabana—when our dogs began barking frantically. What followed, filled us with dread, triggering the familiar trauma and anxiety that has haunted us from six years of battles with CPS and law enforcement.

Panic swept over us as we watched armed officers casually stride past the "No Trespassing" signs we had posted on the gate we built just last year. They claimed to be there due to “insufficient paperwork” regarding our homeschooling of our 7-year-old son, Ellion. Holding “official documents,” they told us we were in serious trouble for failing to enroll our son in the public school system. We were confused and outraged—was this CPS again? The School Board? We didn’t know, but one thing was clear: we weren’t going to let anyone, especially armed officers, take our son.

We were given an ultimatum: sign the paperwork, or face severe consequences. Our hearts raced as our blood boiled. Ellion stood nearby, watching everything unfold, bewildered and terrified. We hadn’t formally notified the School Board that our son wouldn’t attend public school, but did that justify such a heavy-handed response? We were beyond terrified, worried for our son.

-We refused to sign paperwork we didn’t understand, and that's when everything spiraled out of control. The officers informed us we were under arrest. Chris tried to reason with them, keeping his arm straight because of an injury that had left him unable to bend it properly for years. But the officers didn’t care. Chris was thrown to the ground, his injured arm wrenched behind him, causing excruciating pain as I begged them to stop. I even offered to sign the documents to avoid further escalation, but they coldly replied, "It's too late for that."

They arrested us both, all while Ellion stood watching in horror. He hasn’t been the same since, struggling with anxiety and fear when recalling that day. To this day, we are on edge when a car drives past the property.

Now, we find ourselves in desperate need of legal help, not just for our family, but for all families who face the oppressive grip of public school laws that rob parents of their right to raise and educate their children in alignment with their beliefs. -NO parent should be forced into a system that stands against their values, especially when it comes to something as sacred as raising a child according to God's law.
