Defend Reproductive Freedom in TX

In Amarillo, TX, women are subject to reminders of how their bodily autonomy is at more risk now than ever by the overreaching authority of the state. All across this city, billboards abound chastising non-Christians and non-conservatives, as well as stigmatizing a woman's right to reproductive care--including the right to an abortion.

In fact, Amarillo is one of several cities considering passing legislation to become a "sanctuary" city, meaning that the local government would see fit to punish any pregnant person passing through Amarillo on their way to New Mexico or Mexico for the purpose of receiving proper reproductive care.

To push back against this, we are crowdfunding to put up billboards in support of a woman's right to choose. We have already surveyed several possible locations for messages to spread the word to the people of Amarillo and the rest of Texas. Many here are unaware of the political battle to strip women of their reproductive rights in this area and we intend to inform them of exactly what is happening in their city.

Abortions are not going away--they should be safe, legal and available under the care of medical professionals!

The initial goal on this fundraiser will help cover the cost of the first month of a single billboard. If it proves successful, we will expand the goal to cover additional months and locations.
