Defend Democracy in River Forest: Support Term Limits

We are a group of concerned citizens who came together to advocate for a ballot referendum that would institute term limits for the office of the River Forest Village President.

Term limits are essential to ensuring a vibrant, responsive, and accountable government. However, now we face legal challenges that threaten to silence the voice of the people.

We are committed to defending our petition and ensuring that the people of River Forest have the chance to vote on term limits.

The Challenge We Face

Despite more than a sufficient number of resident signatures to place this referendum on the November ballot, demonstrating widespread support for this referendum, our efforts are now under attack. Objections have been filed against our petition, threatening to block this important measure from appearing on the ballot.

We believe that these objections are an attempt to undermine the democratic process and deny voters the opportunity to have their say on this critical issue.
