Help us create Deferrent Circles, a kinetic lounge

Donation protected
Before Deferrent Circles comes into this world to move and connect people, it needs your help. Bryce and the team are applying for various art grants to help fund the the process but even if they are accepted, it wont be enough. Any donations will go directly to the purchase of the materials for the build.

Deferrent Circles is both kinetic sculpture and public seating. Designed to allow participants to interact with each other through movement, it inspires connection and profound conversation through the participation of cause and effect.

It features two seven and a half foot wide, saucer-shaped seats, each large enough for a few humans to occupy. Overhead is a large canopy that can shield participants from the sun or rain, creating a place to gather.

The seats are recessed into either side of a large piece of furniture and are supported in a way that allows them to each spin on their center axis while being connected to one another so that the action of one is deferred to the other.

This mirrored movement from one side to the other, invites folks to play and experiment, connecting an unseen group to another through physical means.

Once completed it will be shared with people at music and art festivals and public events.
