Defib for Doneraile !!!

Dear friends and community

Last year our beloved mother Brenda Lucey suffered a heart attack that forever changed our lives. It was a day we will never forget a day when time seemed to stand still in those moments there was no defibrillator available to us in our village.

We were incredibly fortunate that a first responder arrived with a defibrillator just in time,

giving us a precious opportunity to spend 3 more weeks with our beloved Brenda. Those weeks meant the world to us, a chance to say things that hadn’t yet said, to appreciate the time we had been given.

During those weeks Brenda expressed her deep concern that no family should have to endure what we did !!! Desperately searching for a defibrillator when every second counts. She made us promise to do something about it. So we want to ensure that our village has a readily accessible defibrillator that can save lives when they hang in the balance.

In loving memory of Brenda Lucey, we are launching this fundraiser to install a defibrillator that will be easily accessible to anyone in need within our community.

This lifesaving device could make all the difference in an emergency, giving families more time with their loved ones, just as it did for us.
