Defibrillator for Mudhurst Lane, Disley
Donation protected
Hello everyone, firstly thank you all for the donations! We really appreciate it!! just a update to let you all know we have been working really hard to get a defibrillator fitted on Mudhurst lane, unfortunately to no avail we have really struggled to find a host and have been in touch with a few local residents, councillors, police, united utilities, northwest electric and lots of other people. We really wanted to have it has close to the the place where the accident happened, this is a rural area and unfortunately Niall was not the only accident to occur here it has turned out to be known as a crash blackspot where there are lots of accidents, mainly due to the fact theres no road lighting 60 mph speed limit no road signs no warnings of a dangerous sharp bend ahead no barriers on either side to stop all the cars coming over the edge in a ditch and also the amount of water that runs along the lane in winter months is together a tragedy, we are running out of options so if we can’t find a host for Mudhurst lane then we will be placing the defibrillator near his home in hazel grove we really hope this doesn’t offend anyone, and I know we should have done a little bit of background information before stating it would be placed on Mudhurst lane but with being in a bubble of grieve was the last thing we thought about was struggling to find electricity for it.
Thanks again
As some of you already know, on the 3rd November Niall age 19 sadly passed away due to a car crash on Mudhurst lane, Disley. One of the passengers in the car had to run over 1 mile to find a house to get the postcode to give to the ambulance team, During that time he had suffered a cardiac arrest.
So i am doing a charity walk up Mam Tor on Sunday 28th to raise money for a defibrillator to be fitted on Mudhurst Lane which could potentially save somebody elses life! Anyone is welcome to join me in the walk to help raise money , the link is in my bio if anyone would like to kindly donate , anything big or small is massively appreciated, thank you !
