Defibrillators for Schools and communities
Donation protected
The Big Match are raising money to defibrillators in the Schools and local football clubs.
Currently there are limited numbers situated in the community which could prove time costly in the event of an emergency. With every minute that passes when suffering a cardiac arrest the chances of survival drop 10% . Just think about that for a second but not to long, 8 minutes…
if we can fund units to be placed around the community and schools we can increase the chances of survival massively.
Sadly lot’s of children have heart conditions that go unnoticed. That’s the story of Lilly May Page who was aged 5 when she collapsed on the school playground. A defibrillator was not available and had it have been she may have been saved.
lilly Mays mum Claire has worked tirelessly ever since to get these pieces of life saving equipment into schools.
There are hundreds of children at the hurst and I was shocked to learn that there are no defibs on site.
