Defying the odds entrepreneurs

Hi my name is Laquisha Watson,  I am a proud wife & mother of 2 beautiful kids my daughter is 11 months & my son is 11. It has always been my goal & dream to own my own restaurant & food truck.  Coming from a family that wasn't financially stable,  government housing and not many examples of a promising future I pushed myself to define the odds. Although a teen mom I graduated at 16 with my high school diploma,  took up college courses in food prep and restaurant services. In a life that seemed to throw daily challenges I overcame the odds, cooking became my escape and tranquility.  I worked 2 jobs to support myself & son, with the help of saving & surrounding myself around positive people I purchased my 1st home at 25. Not wanting to stop there I continued to set goals for myself and having something I can be proud of and pass down to my children is the ultimate goal for me.  Due to covoid-19 I was laid off my job and this dream seems further away.
