Our beautiful friend Deidra fought for her life this June when complications from pneumonia left on her a ventilator in the ICU. A loving and giving woman in her early 30’s, Deidra is a fighter and a survivor. Her illness and treatment left her in a state where she is re-learning how to walk.
Along with physical therapy, Deidra also needs speech and occupational therapy. A woman of great faith, Deidra trusts in the Lord and the prayers of the righteous to bring her through. As her friends we are standing in the gap for her both spiritually and financially.In order to continue her rehabilitation, we need to raise funds for her, as her insurance may not cover her treatments after August 9th (please see August 7th update below). We also know that Deidra will need financial assistance as she gets back to her life after this life-threatening illness. All funds raised will go to Deidra’s sister and health care proxy, Angela, and will go towards her medical, rehabilitation and personal care bills. Deidra has much more in her to do. A prolific writer, preacher and vocalist. She also loves to cook and share her healthy recipes with others! We know that Deidra is still here for many reasons and accomplishing her life’s work is a part of that reason.
