Deidre's Recovery
Donation protected
Deidre has been working at Galls for close to 28 years now. During that time, she has become a central part of the IT department. She is critical to the smooth operation of all things IT, including setting up accounts and printing door badges. She is also known as “The Voice of Galls.” If you have ever called in to our call center or called one of our stores, she has welcomed you with a cheery, “Thank you for calling Galls….”
Deidre is also active in the community with her singing. She has been in several plays, most notably playing the part of Ella Fitzgerald in The Duke, The Music, The Women. She is also known for singing at weddings, funerals, and celebrations of African-American culture and heritage. All who have heard her sing know the power of her voice.
As you know, Deidre has been in the hospital for a while, recuperating from two surgeries related to an infection on her leg. She is recovering, but we don’t know when she may be able to leave the hospital and return to her normal life.
We are hoping to raise money to help with her out-of-pocket medical expenses (after insurance) and to help with her normal expenses (bills, rent, etc.) until she gets back on her feet and returns to work. Anything you can give will help her have a few less things to worry about while she recovers. Thank you!
