It is with great sadness we share the news that our beloved "Akela" Deirdre Green passed away on 25th September.
We are raising money to help our very dear family friends, who have sadly lost their mum/wife at the young age of 63.
Sadly, their funds went on burying their beloved Son/Brother Richard who died unexpectedly only a few years ago.
Deirdre had a huge impact on our community being a leader with 8th Worthing Scouts for over 25 years and will be greatly missed. She was Akela of Midship Cubs for over 13 years and will always be remembered for that. In 2018 Deirdre was awarded the Award for Merit for her outstanding service to Scouting.
It was Deirdre’s wish to be buried close to her Son and we would like to make this possible for her and her family. Deirdre and Jim were a huge support to us growing up and would always be there for us like a second mum. We would like to help support their lovely family to give Deirdre the send if she deserves.
Our thoughts are with Deirdre's husband Jim, sons David and Michael and the rest of her family at this sad time.
Thank you for taking the time to read,
Charly and Alaina xxx
