Deja'von's Stagecraft Conference

My name is Deja'von Crittendon and I am a 15 year-old sophomore at the Denver School of the Arts, a public charter high school in Colorado.
I study stagecraft and design. For those of you that may not know, stagecraft includes all the behind-the-scenes stuff in theater production --- sets, props, lights, sound, costumes, hair and makeup.
This year, I have a wonderful opportunity to attend the U.S. Institute for Theatre Technology Conference in Salt Lake City, UT in March.
The problem is that I need to raise money for:
•conf. registration (due in Nov.)
•airfare
•local transportation
•lodging
•meals
•chaperones
•admission fees
•sundries/misc.
I believe I'm well on my way to a promising design career after high school and college, but this conference would open so many more doors for me in my learning of the craft. This past year, I had the honor of working with famous fashion designer, Mondo, from Project Runway, in preparing an original design for the Goodwill Fashion Show. I was a third place winner!
I currently live with my mom and younger sister in Denver. I work very hard to get myself back and forth to school each day, while continuing to make good grades, work on productions and help out around the house. My mom would like to help fund this school trip, but she has been unable to work because of chronic illness.
