UPDATE 3/21/25:

Charlie is now home resting and healing. He has been able to put some weight on his hind legs but is still very sore. For the next couple of weeks we are limiting his movements in order to help him heal. He might never get more movement than he is currently showing but we were able to get him the crucial medication he needed at the time to progress forward in his treatment. We are very grateful for the well wishes and everyone's contributions. Thank you!

Yesterday on March 17, 2025, Charlie our senior family dog, had a freak accident were he slipped and fell while trying to get into our car. He fell in a way that severely hurt his back and is no longer able to stand on his hind legs. He is currently receiving care and pain medication, where we can hopefully see in the next 48 hours if he will be able to have some function of his lower body or even just be able to survive without his health declining due to further complications.

We are currently in the process of moving into our new home and it has made it very hard for us to provide for this unexpected expense. Charlie has truly been the best dog one can hope and has gotten us through some very hard times. We are just hoping to provide him with a couple of days to hopefully see him come through these next tough 48 hours or give him a comfortable end.
