On December 31, 2022, our beloved daughter Delanie lost her courageous 10-month battle with cancer. We are comforted in the fact that she can now rest peacefully as an angel with our Heavenly Father. Delanie was able to spend 5 days at home during Christmas with her family which was so meaningful to her. All she wanted was to be able to see the joy on everyone’s faces when they opened her gifts. She spent many nights at the hospital ordering presents online for everyone (thanks Amazon) just so they could have a memorable Christmas. We can’t even recall the amount of times she said she was “bankrupt”, yet she always found a way to buy more gifts.

Since Delanie was such a kind soul and so determined to give versus receive, we have decided to start a memorial scholarship fund in her name to honor her memory. This way she will be able to continue her giving spirit for years to come even though she is not physically here with us. We are comforted knowing that she will be looking down upon us and seeing her kindness spread to her fellow Chelsea students. If you feel so inclined, please donate as you see fit. If that isn’t possible, please just think often about our sweet girl and help us to honor her memory and her beautiful soul.

Thank you,
The family of Delanie Maute
