Delia Watson Awareness in Bulling/Suicide
Donation protected
Delia Watson was age 11, bullied and felt alone and isolated from her peers. Delia cried out for help, however felt her voice was not heard. Delia was looking to feel accepted by others. Delia felt her only support was her family but continued to feel rejected by her peers. Delia was bullied through text messages and social media encouraging her to end her life. Despite the negative words sent to her, she attempted to focus on her art. Delia was creative and expressed herself through her talent. Delia was caring to others and loved to give hugs. There is a saying. “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”. This is not true!
The funds will be used to assist the family with expenses and awareness to our community regarding Bullying and Suicide Prevention. There are members of our community that have reached out encouraging using Delia’s story as a platform to reach others suffering from rejection and isolation. We as a community, do not want to hear of another story like Delia's. Let us come together and spread the word in how prevent another tragedy. Delia’s memorial is tentative to be on February 23rd. Delia’s grandmother Theresa Ramirez will be in charge of the final expenses with assistance of her Aunt Alma Ramirez Gonzales.
